Mesquite is prized for its strength and stability, as well as it's rich coloration, grain, and the irregularities created within the tree by the environment. Worm holes, burls, and bark inclusions all result in a one-of-a-kind frame or piece of furniture.
The Mountain Cedar (Ashe Juniper) native to the Texas Hill Country is a wood that lends itself to beautiful rustic creations. This wood is aromatic and presents golden yellow tones contrasted with deep reds and browns. The knots and rifts in the wood allow the craftsman to use those imperfections in many unique ways.

Our specialty is handcrafted picture frames and mirrors built from Texas Mesquite and native Mountain Cedar (Ashe Juniper), however we also build a variety of home décor and furniture pieces. Our materials are all hand-selected to insure the highest quality and each piece is designed and crafted by Ken and Angie Cline to produce a finished product that will last for generations. |

Our "Texas Natural" designs make the most of the unique qualities of these woods, so although we can create pieces that will be similar in appearance, no two will be identical. If you desire a more uniform or contemporary style, we are happy to accommodate you with that as well.
Corner samples of our most popular mesquite and cedar frame/mirror profiles are available to professional frame shops. The samples will provide you with the typical colors and texture found in the various woods. See our "For Framers" page and contact us for our wholesale price list. |
